Fastest Apache Cat & V?

Whats the fastest Apache Cat and V any length?

I will guess:
V was RDS?
CAT was/is Warpaint?

How fast was the wooden 41 cat that Ben raced in 86?

Comanche3Six 10-10-2011 05:55 PM

V...probably Kemosabe. Steve Nykamp would know the speed. Beautiful Apache!

JUPITER PULSARE 10-10-2011 06:31 PM

How fast was Little Ceasars back in the day? Originally with tripples and then retro fitted with twins......

sean stinson 10-10-2011 08:46 PM

Ed is probably right Kemosabe and Predator are the 2 fastest at the moment probably within a mile or two of each other!!!! Cat is probably Warpaint I don't remember how fast Benny's cat was back then but for him to go from that to a Cougar which was the Eric's Reality boat probably says a lot!!!!!

sean stinson 10-10-2011 08:48 PM

RDS only ran 105ish Little Caesars in the same ball park maybe touched 110 on its best day!!!! I dont believe it has been wet since being converted to a twin

chewiekw 10-10-2011 09:18 PM

What about Apache Heritage? Also Sean what happened to the original 47 that Ben race the one in your avatar?

J-Bonz 10-10-2011 09:34 PM

What about INXS?

BattleCry 10-11-2011 03:30 AM

Dunno, i do know the JH electric boat was in the high 1 teens when paul lasossa owned it, i think with todays technology if someone spent the time and money a few of the 41's would be in the teens as well.

It was my friends boat and the work was done by Outerlimits and Steve Lopez of Legacy Marine. Don't think the boat ever ran faster than 117. It is now owned by Joe from NJ on the boards. Yes it did have 1300 Sterlings.

I think to show the world the truth, we need some videos with gps confirmation of these speeds to end the controversy. Who wants to start?

We re-fitted the Quick Tempered boat from tripples, ran 90's at best , to twin sterling's 1100hp. and ran 117 mph in 2-3 footers for a 47' Apache that's not bad.RDS was a 45' one of the only few built. You can check out the 47' on our web site legacycustommarine.com under restorations :)

From the man himself, "all the 47's were built differently, kemosabe has the longest deck and furthest back cockpit". if you have a few of them side by side the cowl will be in a diff location. pretty cool the way they were custom built for the owners.

I'm sure exceptional care is taken. My buddy got a ride this past summer at a pokerrun and I'm jealous. It's a beautiful piece and I look forward to finally meeting John and maybe Lee next summer. I have the lone PP so I'm out of the loop LOL.
