Cool! So now you can get a 41 apache built by checkmate, pantera, saber, chief, and mcmanus. So you can have one laid up as a go-fast pleasure, racing, or CC. That has to be the most successfull hulls ever made. Pretty much lets the buyer completely design his own boat.

I'd like one with triple OB's, extended cockpit, generator, and ac.

olli 02-29-2012 01:07 PM

Is this exactly the same hull as the NewTech 43?

X-Driver 02-29-2012 01:21 PM

What do you think the boat will run w/ the 700s if it is some what light in weight??

302Sport 02-29-2012 01:29 PM

If McManus laid it up, it'll weigh in around 20K lbs ready for motors, and run a solid 68MPH with the 700's :angry-smiley-038:

X-Driver 02-29-2012 01:34 PM

20k?

302Sport 02-29-2012 01:36 PM

no just messing around....

http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o44218-en.html Looks alittle familiar..

boatme 02-29-2012 03:23 PM

i think it is a Cigarette/Apache/NuTech/Chief/Checkmate LOL

still it looks good! I am guessing Mr Smith layed it up alot lighter than the other boats

Cant wait to hear the dial in numbers

excalibur82 02-29-2012 03:33 PM

I like the classic flat deck look.. I don't think that other boat broke a hundo with big power. Can't wait to see it done.

Sean, the layup schedule on the boat has it a couple thousand pounds lighter than the Chief/NutTech. I heard 9500 lbs but dont' quote me.

I guess everyone will just have to be patient and wait to see.

Told yall a few years ago these molds were available if someone wanted a boat built..... jus sayin...

and unfortunately it would have a huge bussel/swimplatfrom big enough to fit a jet ski on... Dont forget a redesigned fairing..................... :)

speicher lane 02-29-2012 07:20 PM

paint is a dead ringer for the 410 Skater with the 1500 Sterlings.....

Don't forget about the wakeboard tower/arch..

302Sport 02-29-2012 07:53 PM

And all that for a bargain price of $2.3M

Panther 02-29-2012 08:49 PM

You left out the 600 lb engine hatch..

Then maybe 80's...... those molds would be a lot more attractive if the current owners were not involved...if they were too profit one penny from anything to do with these molds I wouldn't be in the slightest interested!!!!

And I mean that!!! They don't deserve a bit of credit with anything to do with boating PERIOD!!!!

Bobby Saccenti love him with all my heart but the rest I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire!!!!!...Just sayin!!!

Panther 02-29-2012 09:16 PM

Life's too short, I'm moving on.

Bob wasn't involved with this project.

Best of luck to Checkmate with their project. I hope the lamination was done right and someone puts the hull to good use.

soggy bottom 03-01-2012 04:41 AM

How Is it going to be rigged, full stagger - short stagger or side by side?

is not don the designer and builder of theses molds, why is he not mentioned. all others seem to be company names only.

boatme 03-01-2012 12:02 PM

Sonny (Call500) i believe is talking about Don Aronow and the stank I am talking about comes out of Indiana

I Know DLaw deserves a lot of credit for helping Pappo. What a stressful time that was for the owner.

This is a fact

Mike and I had a number of conversations with Brett (Dhlaw) and he was very helpful

Mike and I talked about this yesterday and we agree the boat/molds have some awfull bad Karma attached to them. Mike hated the boat from the day he FINALLY got it, because of the dirty dealings that were perpetuated on him. It forever left a bad taste in his wallet and soul

I hope for Checkmates sake it does not follow them but I know the bad Karma isnt over yet

Biggus 03-01-2012 04:34 PM

Congrats Checkmate!:ernaehrung004:

Hands down the coolest boat they've ever made in my book!

Hope our local Checkmate dealer orders one, would like to wring its neck!!!!!

I saw the videos of what I believe DHlaw called (rightfully so) "A bunch of Yahoos building a powerboat & using it at Pappo's expense....very sad"
Amen

Really????? so this new endeavor by checkmate to do something good in the industry isn't being affected by you voicing your "karma"...knowing when to keep your pie hole shut is part of having tact. the fact that this boat is 100% checkmate should suffice. you spouting off again hasnt tainted anything??? You shouldn't have said a word about it. Honestly Marc you just need to shut up. you've ground your ax plenty. Every time you bring it up YOU look more and more foolish.

Excellent Post Rob!!!! It's like that movie Groundhog Day. Same thing over and over.

We get it Dude. You should realize that for the rest of us it is really annoying that every thread related to this mold, boat, bloodline, first born, etc.. goes to chit because of your posts.

Think of all the energy you have wasted the last few years being bitter over this. Life is too short.

So the NewTech, Chief and Checkmate used the same molds. Where does the Maximum Thunder Renegade 43 fit in?
