i have been in a 41 apache and have seen clifford and WW run. You might not be the first to the cardstop in any of them, but when everyone else is standing on the dock saying "uhhhh...not today" your going for a boat ride...

I seems a little crazy that one of the products you build cost twice as much as the asking price of the company that built it.

That is one of the odd things about the marine industry. One of your product costing more than the entire company's assets applies to most large shipyards and yacht builders as well.

It comes down to the static cost of what it costs a company to produce their product (in this case the hull) and the additional costs to complete the hull into a running craft (motors, rigging, interiors, trailer ect.)

The expences add up as fast as a gas pump taking your money

That is a crazy amount of money to pay for redo. Sucker born every minute. You can find a nice boat for a lot less money and if you buy one right you won't loose as much. That's what I meant to say. But wouldn't buy a Baja or some other less famous brands for that kind of money.

SXM I understand your point , but having owned a number of offshore boats from 30 to 43 feet even if you do most of the work yourself there is no inexpensive way to enjoy one . Normally one sells their offshore for less than they have invested . This sport is not about investment but playing on the water.

Just saw this the other day and it made me laugh....doesnt apply to all, but funny non the less.

The definition of a powerboater;
Someone who spends money they dont have
On something they dont need
To impress people they dont know!

Hahahahaha.....
