The powerboat looks good in the pics, just the prior accident that would dissuade me. Looks like he spent some money on it. I don't know what Apache Performance boats are worth anymore. Today's market isn't the best for sales, but great for buyers.

Sorry, I missed this.. I was out in my garage building drives for my Apache, getting ready for THIS summer.

Good question, assuming the repairs were done correctly and the hull is sound I'd imagine it's worth considerably more than some of the other 36's on the market in the same year.

The boat ran well over 100 mph prior to the driver having an accident.

302Sport 03-03-2012 12:48 PM

He wants like $140k for just hull and drives.

Maybe I had that backwards & it's Great for sales & dismal for buyers. Possibly time for me to sell the CC & the Firefox??? Hmmm.

Love the 36's but that's way too high.

Anyway, drives are done... So Ed, see ya this summer on the water finally???

You brought the thread back to to top. What else could it be? Other than a personal interest in me or what I own & what I do with what I own. I have no interest in you or what you own. I don't care at all. If you want to know something, then stop over. You know exactly where I live & whats on my property. It's a little weird.

I will be changing the oil and filters, and tuning up the Comanche. I also took out the electric hatch opener and I'm installing a hydraulic unit. There is always something for me to do......I need to hit the lottery and erase the word "work" out of the dictionary.

My buddy and I finally put the Comanche in the water for a quick cruise. It ran well, but that's not enough time to test the hardware. The boat itself is incredible!

How was that ride years ago, got any pictures or video?

And don't make it sound like you live in some compound out in the middle of nowhere... There are a lot of people who have seen your boat sitting there for years. Again, nice try.

Go back to stirring the pot, you got a lot of time on your hands. You're definitely not boating.

Enjoy the rest of the winter with your Comanche.

Might be you're sick. Your interest in me has turned personal & weird. Chronologically time stamping what I own, do & say? Stop over & lets resolve it.

Panther 03-04-2012 08:11 AM

So I see you updated your posting this morning because you want to continue stirring the pot. I guess you'd like to keep going with this.

If I'm sick, you're post update definitely confirms you're an ass. :eekdrop:

Keep grasping for straws there boss. Keep lying to everyone about your non running bootleg wannabe Apache. Keep stirring the pot, you're good at it. :poopoo:

The truth is you've had a personal vandetta against me because of someone that I'm friends with. You took a personal interest in my dealings with that person many years ago and when the covers are lifted and tables are turned on yourself you start kicking and screaming.

You're a legend in your own mind. Have a nice life pal. :)

No, no cabin fever. I actually don't care about Frank's obsession with me or my personal property (twisted opinions included, no engines in my Comanche, where it does or doesn't go & stupid chit like that) but my little woman reads OSO from time to time and the stalking part upsets her. Maybe she is right, I don't know. But Frank creeping around our house and taking such an incredible twisted interest in me & what is going on over at our house doesn't sit well with her. So, now I have to get involved & say something to Frank to get him to stop. That's all.

Frank, where did I leave the gas can for my lawn mower? I gotta get him on speed dial, this may have an upside after all.

Panther 03-04-2012 02:40 PM

Ed, you're delusional, I live 175 miles away from you. You're antics aren't working.. try again..

I'm not the only one who thinks you're a little wierd as evidence in this and other threads..

Comanche3Six 03-04-2012 02:49 PM

I guess you're using Google earth now? LOL! And I found the gas can. Text me when my lawn is getting high. Thank You

Sure, couple shots over the years....

It has twin 800's, Bmax drives, just under 90mph. Upgrading to AFR 357 AFR CNC'ed heads this winter so I'm not sure what it'll run this year.

I've got about 300 hr hours on them since I bought them in 2006. They've held up pretty well considering the IMCO Extreme SC's wouldn't last more than 20 hrs behind 700 hp. I upgraded the engines to 800's in 2007.

I've found the lowers need to be checked every other season behind this power (every 100-120 hrs). I've been replacing bearings every other season and just replaced my first lower gearset since new. One drive the gearset looked really good and the other was starting to show some wear so I replaced both gear sets.

I spent about 8 hours re-shimming and building the lowers yesterday. I hope to get to the cylinder heads on in the next couple of weeks with my goal of testing some time in April.

Panther 03-04-2012 07:51 PM

Not the greatest quality but here's some video my buddy took on his cell phone on the AC Poker run in 2010. The picture up above taken by Sharkey Images was taken somewhere off the Jersey Coast north of Atlantic City during the poker run.

I knew i remembered this boat! That was the year the fog came in and cancelled the run, or shortened it considerably. Didn't something happen to this boat that weekend? Slide off a trailer, drop from a lift, run into a breakwall in the fog? Can't recall exactly but there was some issue. Maybe it was a different boat they brought as they had several there that year. Still got 1 of those hats they gave everyone at sign in. Rich

Golfmaxgolf, I never heard anything about the Comanche before. Are you sure? Do you have any other details?

He's talking about Ed's boat Frank it ran the Pier 33 Poker Run back in the 90's....I know the history of it from when it was being built alongside Desert Warrior at McManus's shop!!

He said something happened to it at the poker run, that's why I was asking. I never heard anything happened to the boat before.

Maybe that is why it hasn't been on the water in the last decade.

golfmaxgolf 03-06-2012 11:51 AM

That has been 15 yrs ago (1997) my ability to recall has faded somewhat since then. I sent an e-mail off to the photographer i had with me to see if he had pic's from that weekend, I'll send you whatever he gets back to me with. Rich
