Commanche/Apache 36 Whats the difference?
 

What is the difference between an Apache 36 and Commanche 36 hull? Is this the same hull design?

I believe the hull is the same but McManus changes the deck.

A 36 Commanche is basically a mini 41 McManus Apache with the Commanche style deck on it. Its layed up like its big brother, 100% Kevlar, so its just as strong as a 41. McManus built about 2 or 3 of these smaller boats. The attention to detail on these boats is the same as the 41's and 47's, nothing different except the overall length. Hope this helps. :)

It is winterized at the moment, it will be for sale in the spring. I bought it new in 1987 and it has been a great boat. It was time for me to move up.

Nothing current, and I have it buttoned up nicely for the winter, otherwise I would post a few pics. I have a few small things I would like to address before I sell it, like strip and paint the drive and trim tabs. But it is a nice piece!

No idea on the weight or top speed. But I will post the speed accurately without any salt, pepper and ketchup. I use GPS and Stalker Professional radar gun in addition to the speedometer
Half a tank of fuel, driver and throttleman in a 3 foot chop. We shall see. I'm wired.

I am hoping for a run to Seaside Heights in the Spring. I love to run the coastline, but with the Cigarette Firefox I had to really pick my days carefully.

NJ coast is nice, so is the LI coast running out to Fire Island.

If your Cig is the one I'm thinking about, I saw it out at Sked's in Colts Neck probably 10 years ago. I've seen it parked in your driveway too. It has to be one of the nicest boats out there.
