Can you tell me where you are? Speed pitch horsepower!!
I know these boats are heavy and not so efficient, but even 18% seems high. Wonder if that's the norm?? Anyone else? |
I'm running 12% slip. 1.30 ratio, 26" Bravo1, 5700-5800rpm, 92.3 mph on gps.
For a bravo 1 subtract 1" of pitch when you factor your numbers. |

You drop an inch because a B1 prop is variable pitch. It's not a true pitch prop like a Hydromotive QIV. Bobby will tell you that you should see similar slip numbers as mine with the flat bottom models. My boat would also be faster if I had XR's but you loose 2-3mph with the BMax. The step bottom models will have higher slip but better top end. Also, you can't gauge your slip by your mid-range, you have to run WOT.
When I ran the 92.3mph I had 875hp engines. Now the engines are 964hp and I haven't had good enough conditions to really see what she can do wit the new power. I'm expecting mid 90's. For those of us who use our Apache's, see below; https://youtu.be/lEqFPYBB6Vw |
