Selling our 1983 33'
Haven't been on here in a while, and was unable to log in with my user name of Yamjb. Created a new ID tonight of JCB37.
Just posted our boat in the OSO Apache classified. Check it out, and share with anyone you know who might be interested. Thanks. John |
beautiful boat...if mine was sold I'd be on the way with a check

Sweet Looking Rig, I don't think I have ever seen a 33ft. Please tell us about it. More pics?
|
That thing looks great! I’d seriously consider that if I was buying right this moment. GLWTS |

Yeah I saw the classifieds. I was wondering how it came about? related to the 28 or 36? more pics of the interior and cabin? I haven't heard much to any about the 33, I was just curious. I always like to learn more about the tribe. Rare rig, sharp.

They have nothing to do with the 36 or the 41; completely different hull. Not many of these were made especially of the closed decks. For the ones that have been around for a while, many might remember that there was a big issue about these molds "disappearing in the early 90's and a "center console" company popping them as their 36 line with the a bracket. Well yes that's where the 36 Concept came about. The rest is history. The El Boos racing boat became the white, yellow, purple & blue boat. Notice the exact resemblance between both hulls.

In case none of you knew, there was one factory built 41 center console. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...8ad19938c6.jpg

from talking to Bobby only 5 of them were made the El Boss the only one built like a race boat. also stated it was made out of carbon graphite with twin built BBCs back when new top speed was mid 90s. there was also a wide body think they were mostly center consoles.
bottom line owned quite a few boats but quit looking after acquiring the 33. |
Exactly as i said. Not many were made and less than a handful of closed decks. Not many CC. By far less than 20.

John Nice looking boat, I would be interested in seeing more pictures. Tom |
I spoke to Bob Saccenti at an OPA race in NJ. He was very gracious with his time. He looked at alot of pictures of our boat, and spoke to me and my Wife for quite a while.
I asked him if 7 33's were made because our Hull ID has 007 in the middle. As previously stated, he said there were 5 narrow beam, closed deck 33's made. He also said that 2 or 3 of the 5 were gone, making any left very rare. He said there "was something" about the 007 ID number. He thought ours was the boat He, Ben Kramer, and his father were running when the father broke his nose on the dash. What a cool story... |
so where's the disconnect 5 or 7 built .....miss stamped, doesn't seem likely

Hi Panther. It”s been a long time. We bought another boat, and the Apache is still for sale. |
Still available. Will consider trades for cars, trucks, RV’s, real estate. |
God I wish my boat was gone...Like I said I would be on the way...absolutely love that boat
|
well the Apache was on the river yesterday. every time john goes by I say "dam that sounds good".
|
Thanks Dave. Needed to take the Apache out for a spin. Working on the Outerlimits, and making sure my son is ready to run the Apache. Gonna take them both out next weekend. You should bring the Sonic out, and let’s go for a ride! |
still have'nt had it in the water since I put the 540 in it, I've run it on the hose, that's it. been taking the pontoon out and then I'm invisible nobody see's me.
|
Fire it up. We are planning on heading north for a short run, then down to Shadows for lunch. Maybe south to West Point or to Haverstraw Bay. Launching at noon. Let me know... |
what are you going to do with the other half of the day ? lol. i'll probably just take the pontoon out, it's a blistering 25 mph flat out. last weekend DEC was at the launch doing safety checks before you even put the boat in the water. he said my flares were expired so I couldn't operate my boat at night, well I don't anyway, that was sunday. Saturday the COAST GUARD was up by coxsackie doing safety checks with a chase boat from a big cutter. I out ran them with my pontoon boat.
