Restoring an Apache Renegade
I really like the idea of restoring an Apache. After looking at Cigarettes, Formulas, Donzis, all the major names in powerboats I keep coming back to this idea. I like the Apache history and build philosophy as well as having a unique boat at Lake of the Ozarks. After talking with some folks I am thinking it would take 300k to 400k to make it like new. What I am afraid of is that I will be so upside down on it that I would just have to keep it because of losing so much on a resale. I can’t imagine that anyone would pay 400k to 500k on a boat that is practically new but is technically a 23 year old boat. What do you guys think?

Why do you think Renegade would need 300-400k spent on it?? All Inventory | Performance Boat Center

My $0.02 - Simple math - it hasn't sold at $160K... adding another $300-$400K isn't gong to see a positive ROI at a future point of sale,......The 47 and 41 Apaches (Renegade is a 42) have a provenance and a following like a Ferrari but it will never translate to investment dollars that will appreciate like the car world.
It's a cool beast just the same |
Apache
Speed cost's MONEY, how fast do you want to go. good luck on your journey.

What,s the HIN# on this Renegade boat? I don't think its a Genuine Apache Powerboat...

It is definitely a real Apache. It's a one off 41 that they used a modified 36 raised deck on.
BTW, it sold |

There is a reason it took two years to sell, just saying. I have a 41 and the Renegade boat looked nothing like it. Mine was built in Hollywood, Florida from Mark McManus. Did Bob build this boat?
47 Spirit of Apache is hands down the baddest Apache out there, fully sorted/rebuilt and it took years to sell. Why? Limited audience on old boats, 6 pack interiors and tough to finance/insure. |
Renegade was pulled from a damned 47 mold, 42 foot with a 1ft notch, the deck came from the 36 and 28 top deck mold. it was a APH hin. Bobby said he made a couple of them.

Sometimes it's more of a love of the boat than a smart financial decision. Look at what was spent on Spirit and what it sold for. If you are going to try and flip boats, you gotta know how to do most everything yourself. I think Bobby built a nice looking boat with Renegade boat.

Bob built 2000 Apache Renegade 42' on 188th St with the original team, Bob Saccenti, Tom Evans & Gail Paik . Bob was going to start building 42's as Bob said a 41 is really a 40 and he always felt it was a bit to short he said so he shortened the 47 mold and built 42' Apache renegade for his dear friend John Lareau and was going to continue to make them but McManus walked in with his authority figure fed friends and had Bob escorted out as he lost the Apache company to McManus as he was the only one invited to the silent fed auction. Any how Bob just issued 42' Apache Renegade a Certificate of Authenticity, She has Keith Eckert build with less than 20 hours on them ,serviced, & maintained by HP Mafia. Top Speed is around 102mph. Apache Renegade is in original showroom , MINT condition with out a scratch on her. Meticulously cared for , on Lake Peoria & Lake Michigan her whole life The Wex boat is a 42' but bob added steps to that one when he started Chief. Apache Renegade is currently up for sale , i bought her and serviced her and never put it in the water . Apache Renegade is in a climate storage building and going up for auction on BaT any day. We are entertaining all pre auction offers as we have a handful already. thank you , Rob Cee ( check out Apache Renegade on my FB page Rob Cee is my FB name )

Hence the reason it doesn't look like a McManus build cause McManus didn't build it. Ty Rob |
