As I understand it, it was made 45' long. It was the only 45 ever built. I had 3 engines, then one went out so they decided to close up the hole for the middle drive and us it as a twin engine boat and get two more bolsters in the area that the third engine was in. I would think that the drives would now be to far apart.

Just what I have heard

i believe that when it was built they start with a 47 mold block off
( dam ) the back 2 ft then lay up the hull, from what i understand most of the decks were made from one mold then cut and modified to fit what ever, 41 peasure, six pack, three man stagger stetch the deck for a 47 or in this case a 45. it took me awhile asking questions about decks it was tonto that explained it to me. if you notice on most all 47 the decks or different quite a few 41's look different also.

I've always wondered when blocking a mold, is the rocker that was designed into the original mold considered. I would think rocker placement would be critical to the basic designe. Same for extending a mold from 41 to 47 feet.

Splain to me

i have also asked the question of the drive separation and it was explained that it is basicly the same as a side by side boat.
