I just saw a 42' Fountain named the dealer in the classified section. Great looking boat with big power and number VI's! Also in red with white...

Question: It was either that one or another 42 Fountain, but it said the motors were side by side stagger? I have never heard of this and didn't think it possible. Anyone know about this?

thanks

It was probably listed as a short stagger ( versus a full stagger ).

All of Norval Stahly's boats that he personally kept for his use where called "The Dealer". Apaches, Cigarettes and Fountains all have a "Dealer" among them. And they all were red boats when he had them.

Ahh look what I found. I had an old box of photos I took back in the 80's. Just scanned some of them in.

That's the one I remember.

Isn't it from around 92. I saw it at the APBA races in Galveston around that time.

The one that you saw wouldnt have been the one pictured above. The 47 Competition Series that cigracer posted above is a non stepped 1995 with triple SC525's & 3a's. At its best, it ran mid 70's.

Could have been. I just know it was awhile back. Some of the other pics in the stash I found were much old.

Thats the one. That batch of pics were taken on a December trip back in the 90's sometime.
