The posts are slow right now so I'll show off the new exhaust tips. They are the same kind that we took off, but these are new and look much better! The transom looks the way it should now. This summer we painted the drives and tabs, powder coated the rais and installed new grab handles and water dumps. I think it looks nice and clean now.

Here are some pics of my new to me 28. She was featured in the 1990 Miami Boat show and still sports her original paint job. This 28 also sports a red dash and is the only one I know of that was made that way.

It is the boat that sits across from wicked won, but its not the Budweiser 41 boat. It is the boat in the advertisement and the picture along with the new cockpit picture. When I have some time I'll get some more pictures on. The drive train is 582/720hp United Racing Engines with #4's. It originally had 3's but when it was redone at McManus #4s were put on and tested at Lake X. The boat runs 78 and has a full cabin. It was a light boat and still only weighs 11 thousand pounds with the cabin. There is another boat in my area but I don't belive thats the Budweiser 41 boat either. The original paint on that just said Team Apache. Its an earlier boat then mine. Mine is number 12 hull. It is a staggered boat.

This one still in Sandusky still water ?

slapshot 01-29-2008 09:09 PM

Saw this boat leaving Kelley's Island this past summer. Exhaust tips were underwater. Looked odd.

Are you sure? Rob talked to that guy last summer about this boat. Said it was the first pleasure Apache '41? And that the boat was all original?

Lenny is old....maybe he just doesn't remember! :p

It is too bad that the chief thing never panned out as was hoped. I wish I had the Jack to make a deal on this beauty.

Maybe I will start playing the lottery..

He must'a had a conveyor belt stacked with $1,000.00 bills to build that puppy. I think they said a little less than $300,000.00 will take it home.

Jayl13 07-18-2008 08:45 AM

I dont know, I think that boat has alot of bad mojo incorporated with it. The curse of the apaches has followed it to this one off as well.
