Congrats to you and your husband. I looked at the add for that boat probably 1000 times trying to figure out what I could sell to be able to afford that kick a$$ boat. Beautiful boat you bought! I hope you enjoy it, but know you will. Be sure and post lots of pics of your first few trips.

Thanks Wade! I'm sure we'll enjoy it....always been a dream of my husband's to own an Apache.

We'll post pics on our first run. Calling for 2 to 4's rising to 3 to 5's this weekend on Lake Erie. I think Rob calls that "Apache Water!" :D

I have a question. I hear the Apache 47 may be back on the market soon as well as the 41 IO and a 41 Outboard Center Console. If they are straight and fitted correctly how will they be accpted? Just a rummor but thought I would ask.

They are on the market now and have been for a while. Here is the link. http://www.apachepowerboats.com/ To me personally, when somebody says the name Apache, I think of the older boats that came from 188th street.

This does not mean that I would not own a new Apache from McManus if I had the dollars to buy one. It would be a dream to have him build me a new, exact duplicate of one of the older boats. Flat deck, raised hatches, etc. He certainly knows how to build them and was there when the originals were made, so there is no doubt that the new ones will be incredible and will continue to bring honor and prestige to the Apache name.

cl269 08-20-2007 07:20 AM

Thanks for the return. As I understand, they will be from the molds used in the 80's with the same deck. Saber has the 41 now but the 47 has been out of use for a while. They would not be using the Apache name as you point out because only the molds were sold.

If I understand what I hear, they will be laid properly and fitted up to the customers specfications. I doubt if a center console would interest you but what about the concept for that hull?

If I hear more I will post again. Thanks

It ran very good. Waves were 2-3 with a few 4' through the cut. Ony complaint is I wish it had longer tabs on it. Other then that it was great:cool-smiley-011:

We are getting our 41 Apache delivered this week. We do have the longer tabs, so that's good to know.

Can't wait to get out in some 3 to 4's and see how it handles.

Tony,

What was the story with the water in the drives?

I have the smaller tabs and also wish I had the big ones.
