It is mine Thanks Scott That 41 Apache ran the Jersey coastline for quite some time. Always liked the way it cruised effortlessly right through the rough water, especially rounding Sandy Hook! Looks nice, have fun! |

All images are now online http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/bo...ns_apache_2014 The day could have been better weather wise. The boats I thought would have been closer to the Pier being as I spoke with the organizer just prior to the boats arriving at the Golden Nugget. They were expected at 11:30 AM at the Marina and when I passed through at 11:45AM I saw none. Therefore I went right to the Steel Pier. I was looking for a nice group shot of the APACHES running together. It was supposed to be staged for a nice shot all lined up. Well that never materialized. It turned out to be a free for all and everyone pretty much did their own thing. It was posted on FACEBOOK that the boats would be making passes in front of Atlantic City. Well I guess they did . 1 pass to the south to Ventnor Pier and 1 Pass on the way back. Just wasn't what I was expecting. They just seemed to be doing their passes off of Ventnor not AC. The 47 Apache I had in my sights and he was running good coming right at me. Once he reached the Pier Mall they backed out of it and turned. :( Such a shame but I have some killer helicopter shots of that boat from the Poker Run so no big deal. Just such a missed opportunity... I had a boat to go on but passed on it because I was under the impression they would be doing fly bys at the Pier. Therefore I brought my wife down so she could go and enjoy herself in the Casino while I was shooting. How was I to know she was going to be playing all day ..... :) The day didn't start well with SECURITY breaking my balls within minutes of arriving at the Pier. If that wasn't bad enough, SECURITY in Margaritaville Bar & Restaurant told me to turn off my camera when all I was doing was reviewing the images in the LCD and had the lens cover on... :( This all taken place while people were actually taking pictures in the bar with their cameras. Needless to say I couldn't wait to get back home as I still had a ton of images to work on from Buffalo and the Fun Run to the Oyster Creek Inn the day before with the NJPPC. Hope to have a better time at Rock the Bay this weekend.... :) http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/im...54549826-4.jpg http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/im...52835251-4.jpg http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/im...05755334-4.jpg http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/im...25459433-4.jpg http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/im...67850366-4.jpg http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/im...39143977-4.jpg http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/im...73447580-4.jpg |

Awesome pics Ed! I had the chance to stop by Mark Adam's shop in Ft. Lauderdale. He has an impressive collection of pics of Apaches he's taken over the years so thought I'd post them here. Sorry for the poor quality, they're just pictures of pictures
