That 30 at Fox only has twin 6.2s. I would have to have at least 496 motors to consider one. The one I posted about has 496ho's in it. Also, BTM does still get 29 Outlaws with single 496 motors in them. They have a huge market for them, and Baja is only making 2005 models for them. Baja does consider them special order, so no rebates apply to them. Besides, I will be in the market for an older one, say around 1999 to 2000. I have not decided my next will be a Baja yet.

When I purchased my 30 Outlaw, the upgrade from mags to Ho's was about 8k. With all the other options I ordered with the boat, I settled for the mags. I'm happy with the performance. 72 all day on gps. Speedo reads 75

You should be able to buy a 30 loaded with Ho's for just over 100k. I can't believe the prices of used boats. I would not pay more than 80 for any used 29, as you probably buy a used 30 (if you can find one) for low 90's.

Bikini Lover you are correct, the boat is at Hawkeye. I can't believe they are asking that price for it, you will never be able to sell it in the future.

Thanks for everyone's input.

When I ordered my 2001 with HO's, the price difference was slightly less than $10,000.

GPS speed on mine with HO's was 78+ any day of the week. Broke 79 on GPS twice during the 4 years I had it. Not bad considering I only made WOT GPS runs 3-4 times a year.

Our local dealer has 2 33 ft outlaws(05's) for 131k w/ho 425's while rebate last,Smitty
