Do you have a boost gauge ?

And if so, how much boost are you showing ?

.....Fuel pressure too ???

Yes, I have both gauges. I'll let you know after this weekend.

I had a Whipplecharged 24 Outlaw and would run 75 with a 26" Bravo all day long at 5000 rpm. Something is wrong with your setup. It should be going somewhere in the low 80's if it is setup properly.

A local here with the same boat and Procharger on a 496HO claims 80 on GPS. I haven't ridden in it yet, but several others back him up on it

Re: Speed out of a Procharged 25 Outlaw ?

My 2000 baja 272 ran 76 mph directly off the dyno w/629hp w/28 pitch at 4900-5000,about same speed w/26 pitch at 5400. Ran 79 mph at 5200 w/28 pitch,m-3 on 502 mpi w/lightning headers, merlin heads but stock cam. Ran 85.1 w/n-3 on 540,will run between 95-100 this year w/950 hp. Your boat at 570 hp would be about right at 72 on gps as we have similar hulls,Smitty

Ok, everyone thanks for the input. Since I don't have a performance shop close by, I'll probably wait until the winter and have the prop labbed. I'll still report on the boost and fuel pressure for jt29olhp500 if I get a chance to get out on the water this weekend (the weather sucks right now).

Hey Smitty,
Looks like you are the man I need to talk to. I've been looking for someone with a 272 with 502mpi B1 setup that has used a Procharger?
I've read different posts that say you have to cut or notch your stringers to install the Procharger kit. I haven't heard from anyone with a 272 yet.
So how was the install? Did you have to pull engine in order to avoid cutting or notching the stringers? Does it require a professional to install?
Thanks,
Charlie

I didn't have to notch any stringers even with a m-3 sc ,but you won't get a aw504 innercooler in front of motor. I piped mine off to the side worked out swee.call me 989-823-7319 and I'll give you any pointers I can,Smitty

Re: Speed out of a Procharged 25 Outlaw ?

I just switched out my lightning headers for stainless marine hi tq 3's because my heads and cam on my 540 are too radical if your looking for a set. They have captains call, new solenoids, shift bracket, egt bungs in # 7&8,plus the gaffrig egts and probes go with them, they are like new,1000$ if your interested,Smitty
