Default Question on 2001 25 outlaw

Didn't want to step on another thread. I found a 2001 25 outlaw that has 220 hours and custom matching eagle trailer and many options. Only down side is that is has the small 7.4 mpi motor in it. I know this motor is the weak point of the boat but how fast would this boat be (realistic gps speed) and is below 40K a good price for the boat? What would be a realistic price because of the smaller motor?

I would agree with Artic on the speed. The 7.4 is a work horse thuogh. you can run that engine for ever. How much under 40k is it. For the right price you could sell the 7.4 and find a take out 496 or 502.

Right now the asking price is just BARELY under 40k which I thought was high for the setup because of the time of year and future retail, but it is avg book value. If someone has a motor they could drop in I think they could work a deal on it and have a nice setup, either have them sell w/o power or take the 7.4 and sell it. I think I would rather step into something that is ready to run already without a motor swap. I also rather see my boat get sold first before sitting on two boats this winter. Here is the link if anyone is interseted in the boat.

50??? We had a 251 Checkmate that would run 60 with a carbed 454. I can't believe that the Check is over 10 mph faster than a 25 OL. The OL only weights 950 lbs more. The MPI even has more hp than the carbed version.

36,000 for a 99 3 years ago? I would say you got a hell of a deal.
