Default 250 Es

I just purchased a 1990 250 es, 454-365,Bravo drive very clean only 218 hours on boat.Any feed back on this model? Is this a true deep vee hull or is it like the current 272 model?Has anyone tried to put any power in these?I was thinking about building a HP 500.

There are four 250/270's im my boating group. I think you will love this hull and engine combination. The boat has lots of cabin and cockpit room which makes it very functional. The hull has a 24 degree bottom that enables it to handle relatively rough water with little effort. One thing I have noticed while riding in the two boats with standard 365hp is that they seem to plow a little more than I like. I believe by using a prop with a blade profile for lifting the bow would result in a better ride and an increased top speed. The other two boats have 500hp plus and and they handle the power well.

Enjoy your new ride!!!

The 250 is the same as the 270. Nice big single engine boat. There are a few guys on here that have 270's that will run in the 80's and higher.
I would guess that the boat would do well with a 24p Bravo 1 4 blade. Most are probably running 23 or 25 3 blades.

Jason is right on prop selection. I think one is running a 23 mirage and the other is using a 24 Hydromotive. I feel that both of them would benefit from a bow lifting prop and have offered them the use of a Mach Sterndriver that I know has lots of bow lift but for some reason they are not interested in trying it. If you could get your hands on a Bravo 1 22p or 24p I would encourage you to try them both. If you could find a Mach Sterndriver I would really encourage you to try it. I have a 24 Outlaw and have found the Mach to work best for me. There are lots of prop pros here on the forum (Throttle Up and BBlades) to name a couple. Let me know if I can be of any help to you.
