Here's what I would do to estimate price. Figure out what a 2001 36 Outlaw with 502's is going for in todays market place with the same options. Then add about 1/2 of what those 575 SCI engines sold for in 2001. Then you should have what is a good MARKET price. I have a 2000 36 Outlaw and I know that it appraises for 130,000 but I could probably only get around 100K for it in todays market.
Whoever is selling this boat is going to have to sit on it for a while. The bigger the boat and cost, the longer it seems to take to sell unless you are giving it away.

The other downfall IMO is that the 36 is cashed in. The new thing is the lighter, faster and NEWER 35... Plus no trailer.
575's are injected and they are merc, but there not closed cooling and there also cashed in...

Anyway, the boat has never left LOTO, that's why there's no trailer. If someone at LOTO bought the boat and planned on keeping it there, then the trailer would have no impact.
Cashed in?? That sounds like pretty fancy talk to me..
I guess I was asking what people thought it's worth, not everything they dislike about it...

Maybe you should do your own research (calling dealers, check the book, check other adds, etc.) rather than trying to half azz sell your boat in General Discussion by avoiding forking over the dough to list it in classifieds.

As far as doing my own research and booking it out or asking other dealers what it's worth has absolutely nothing to do with asking fellow oso'ers.

Harper,
Nice package. I guess what I would do if I were trying to sell that boat is start the price where your comfortable. You and only you know how much equity you have in the boat. You can always lower your price if the phone doesn't ring. The motor package makes it attractive for somebody that wants reliable turn key power in a big water hull. Make sure you emphasize this point. After being in the market for sometime I have looked at hundreds of boats....I would probably estimate a STARTING price of this boat in the 125K range.
Oh yeah, one more thing, if you want to get a good feeling for what the market is bringing for this boat simply go to www.boattrader.com or a similiar site and type in the exact specs. I would pick the median price for a start.

Because it is on LOTO it will command a premium price. Stuff over there sells for stupid money. LOTO price would be $135-140k with no trailer.
