You shouldn't be surprised to see someone disagree with you and/or ask for proof...as in pictures or video. Hard to believe your old boat ran 7mph faster with a labbed prop and minor exhaust mods. Are you sure you're not talking speedo numbers???
Because either you're boat is some 500-700 lbs lighter than other 25 OL's or your engine is really a 500hp.

I'l take your words as a request and promise I will film my 25 OL at 70 mph showing both the livorsi speedo and the GPS... My first launch should happen in May... I would'nt be surprise to break the 72 mph mark at that time of the year.

My 288 runs 67-69 GPS w/ full 110 gallons of fuel and 4 people,, will run 70-71 w/ half fuel and 2 people,, lets hit the river this year and see who pulls who ??? Sounds like we should be dead even...

A 23 pitch prop, 5000 RpM, 11% slip which is probably a bit optimistic would get you approx. 64.6 MPH. Even if you had the prop re-pitched to 25 pitch, 11% slip would get you approx. 70 MPH. 15% slip is more like it in a single engine V-bottom, that would get you 67MPH with the 25 pitch. So anyone who says they're running 70 with a 23 pitch prop, 496ho would have to turn about 5500 RPM which I have never heard of. Just my $.02.

It would be interesting to see what the Livorsi speedo reads, I've seen them read 3 mph high to sometimes lower than GPS readings.
