Default 27 Dual vs Single handling

I'm now moving from a 18 Donzi to a 27 Baja. I had duals on my Regal 277 Commodore and want to stick with a single powerplant this go round with fuel prices and maint what they are. Under way, can anyone tell me how different the single vs dual plants handle otherthan power and top end speed on the 27. 1st post here so bear with me.

OK then let me ask my question a bit differently. How different does a 272 with single handle from a 29 Outlaw with twins?

You can get a 29 single too

I think the 272 and 29 outlaw are apples and oranges. fast answer, the 29 handles a lot better than the 272. the 29 is probably 3 feet longer than the 272, and weighs a lot more with twins, which is going to ride better. both are excellent boats.

Big Thunder Marine on LOTO has several 2005 29 OL's (singles) for sale. Check out boattrader.com. I think you would be happier, but don't try to resell it later. May be tough. My .02...

Once you go to twins you will never go back.
Does that answer your question?

...... had twins on a Regal 28...... twice the gas, maintenance, and issues....... at 42 w/ 6yo slowing down a bit, just interrested in having a platform that "looks" the "part" is all that i need hopefully my good looks and charm will still attract the ladies at C&C's on Travis.... at least that is the plan.

Basicall I assume that the "handling is a bit different then?
