HO'S ABOUT 76-78 80+- With the right props ect

525's 90+ I heard that the prototype boat hit 92 but it ran out of prop and that boat was 700 lbs heavier than production boats so it should be in the mid 90s with the right set up

76 is about rite with ho,s but 90+ with 525 is hard to believe due to the fact that the 525 is only 100 hp more than the ho. that ia about 5 to 7 more mph tops.

I test drove the 30 with HOs my dealer had and we hit 78 on GPS on less than ideal conditions.

The 30 that Hawkeye had with 525s hit 88.7 on GPS with the stock 30" props. I know they were playing around with some different pitch props, and were hoping to hit 90 with it.

Not to argue but I have been on two 30's and both hit 78 + on gps bone stock.

I would think that 525's dialed in with all the right jewelry should be real close to 90+.

At any rate both set ups are great but the 525's are just tooo much $$$$$./

Hello everyone I’m a new member and was just getting ready to ask this same question.
I own a new 2005 30 Outlaw with HO’s and 4 blade Bravo props which has just recently been run-in and since the best number I have seen with ½ tank two people is 74 GPS but only once, 72 is solid and all she wants to do. I’m disappointed with 72 and I’m starting to wonder if something is wrong with my boat looking at all these number posted here. People running high 70’s stock, and 80 with lab props. Granted I’m only turning 4500~4600 RPM but find it hard to believe I will get another 8 MPH from 500 RPM. Since I’ve seen 74 even thought just once, I believe 76 may be possible in my boat with lab props.

So why so slow, maybe it’s due to my boat having so many options that add weight, SST, AC/DC Galley, Livorsi GPS Speedo, Dual Batteries, Transom Shower, 9 gal fresh water on board, pump out head, Clarion Performance Plus, 2 amps, 14 Speakers, two remotes w/6 disk CD, Cabin Table, Snap in Carpet, Compass, Quick & Quite Plus, Depth Finder, Pop-up Cleats. I also carry a 17# anchor w/6’ chain and 150’ x ½” rope, Four 25’ dock lines, Three 30” Fenders, an AK 47, 9mm, just the necessities. So who actually owns a 30 that is running these big numbers and at what RMP? What optional equipment does it have and how is it loaded?

gotta remember the 525's are underrated,,, they are more like 540hp,, so lets say 76 w/ H.O.'s add another 250 hp at 1mph at 18hp and you should see an additional 14 mph so 90 sounds good.. definitely slow w/ 525's though

4500-4600 is low and you would be suprised to see what you can pick up with 500 rpm.( i wouldnt count on 8 mph)
