Dash Panels
Does anybody make new dash panels for a new gauge setup?
|
Re: Dash Panels
I have a 94 Caliber and just got new gauges and I am going to make a new panel for mine out of .190 aluinum on a Bridgeport I will let you know how it turns out. I also have thought about recasting the pod the gauges go into to bring the pod on a better angle to see gauges and just using the 2004 outlaw panel as I have a few of them. Brian

Re: Dash Panels
Call Bill or Kevin Gowland @ 608-525-8326. They have the patterns for most Baja panels and will make you new ones. Very reasonably priced, too.

Re: Dash Panels
Do you anticipate any problems with the lucite cracking in the winter or with age?

Re: Dash Panels
I just ordered all new panels from Kevin Gowland yesterday. Pics will come when I get the panels-about 2 weeks.

I always thought the aluminum was good from baja, Just painted these for someone in TX. The aluminum work was perfect, baja has come along way with their dashes in my opinion.

Re: Dash Panels
Jayl13 how much does it cost to have that done? I would love to do that in my 252
|
Re: Dash Panels
Free.
I do it for free, I enjoy painting and airbrushing. |
Re: Dash Panels
Wow. you do very nice work. How long did it take to complete?
|
Re: Dash Panels
Give or take a few days, 3 weeks ish. I had alot going on at the time, 77 Trans Am project, 41 apache deal going on, hurricane damage work going on. Stuff like that.
I might have to charge some $ (minor) to cover the cost of the concept clear and the one shot paints I use (UV protected paints) and the Pigment powders that make the clear shimmer in the sunlight. What do you want done? |
Re: Dash Panels
I would just like to match the dash panels to the graphics of the boat. Just a couple of swooshs in red and balck. See my avitar. I can take some pictures this weekend and you could give me a quote if you are interested.
