Only thing I don't like is the lime green vinyl accents on the seats and sides...they should have gone with yellow...

Now you’re talking, STEPPED HULLS!!! :D
I’m not sure why Baja has not embraced the ventilated hull concept?? |

I think they are making great strides without it. Poker Face is a light layup boat, but from a dead stop it out ran a 35 Fountain also with 525's by a nose in two miles at the Tick Faw Poker Run. The fountain probably had a full cuddy, but it also had twin steps. So do the math! The owner of the Fountain was pretty funny, his comment was "That is the fastest damn Baja I have ever seen". |

With the high sales volume, I doubt they want to subject themselves to the liability in this day and age of "sue happiness". |

Re: 2006 30 Outlaw w/ 600SCI's
The 29 I was refering to is a single with around 1200 HP.
You would not catch me in it, but the owner claims that it is very stable and runs like it is on rails. |

Baja, because of the large lineup they make from 20 feet to 40 feet and the price factor, attracts a lot of first time performance boaters to the sport with little to no experience. Usually the guys that go to the stepped hulls have years of experience with non-stepped boats. Many actually started out with Baja. They have their nitch, and are doing very well with it. Unfornunately we still hear of those in stepped boats that should have had more experience, such as the guy down at Tick Faw a couple of weeks ago. |

Re: 2006 30 Outlaw w/ 600SCI's
I think baja has done a tremendous job in the past few years to really push the envolpe on safe, straight hull boats. The have introduced 4 new models in as many years. That is huge.
