WELL I went out to mount hope bay between the bridges and in 2 1/2 foot chop I hit 83.2 gps 81gps up and down the river with about 80gals of gas, no water in the bilge so I am happy that was at 5600rpm 26p lab bravo 1 yeah haah and still don't have the full hdy steering hook up yet just the add on. I like the 2'' shortie now I will run one more weekend and then pull it apart before my knee operation the 22 only #6

Pretty impressive speeds,my 272 never got much past mid 70's with 26 pitch prop although that was my old 502 that only revved to 5400. You must have some incredibly low slip numbers too,keep it up, your hauling arse ,Smitty

What ratio drive are you running and what was done to your prop,Smitty

1.5 THE PROP WAS LABBED a couple yrs back by a guy who worked on warlock boats he was in cal. I think I told what I had at the time was going to add the 2'' shortie back then, but the boat wasn't used from 2003until last fall I took it out once and this yr I went out in aug once with old carb and now twice with new set up.

I have to check my gas tank sender out too. maybe I am running on fumes already. I put one of my new gauges in and it still isn't reading so I''LL take it apart in the moring.
