240 Sport Info.
Hello everyone,
I just purchased a 1988 240 Sport. The boat has a new crate 502 (I知 still trying to get more info on the motor) and is relatively stock. The boat is in great shape for a 1988 but I do plan on some upgrades and modifications. If anyone has up graded or knows of problem areas to look out for please share.
Thanks in advance for any info on the 240.

I have a 1989 240 Sport with a stock 365 Mag it came from factory with K planes Zero Effort throttles a real nice rig . I just did a major rework on the floor rear seat and engine comp. I cut the seat so you can remove the rear portion in order to work on engine easier, But it still appears stock Pm me if you would like to talk , I have much insight and don,t mind talking ,a great boat Just had to do some refinements

Biginches
Great gob on the dash and motor! I hope to start on the interior this winter. Did you use the stock dash panels or did you make new ones?
Codered
I will catch up with you after the boating season and I have the boat here so I can tinker with it. What you have done with the back seat sounds cool. I hope to do some engine mods but that will be in the future. need to replenish some funds after purchasing the boat.
Thanks for all the info. and pics. I知 starting on the dash first this winter. Thinking Zero effort controls. New gauges, cup holders, seats need a little attention, floor and carpet are new. May install some kind of trim tabs, need a little more seat time
Has anyone put a foot rest in or on the floor?
Thanks again.

Re: 240 Sport Info.
One problem area to look for is the plywood to rot in the sunpad/engine hatch. I had to replace mine a couple years back and put in marine ply. Other than that mines been really good and still turns the heads. Pushing 500 hours on the factory motor.
