Kinda dead in here, what gives?

All the trucks have their flaws. I personally am the happiest I've ever been with a vehicle. I have an 2004.5 LLY Duramax with the Edge box & additude monitor. That thing is a monster without a load & with a load it still is soooo impressive. The power is just unbelieveable with a load! The only thing I would change about it is I wish it sat a little higher like the Superdutys do & I wish it got better mileage @ 75mph. But still 18 on the highway unloaded isn't bad. Loaded @ 65 I can still get 13-15 if I stay out of the throttle......like that happens.
I am interested in the new Ford twin turbo engine & the larger Cummins. They both just need better transmissions.

Too bad we can't combine the best features of all the trucks into one badazz one!
That is what I think, here is my wish list.
Engine - Cummins HPCR 325/610 from 2005-2006
Trans - New Alison 6-speed auto, no questions
Body and Interior - I love the 2005-2006 Ford Crew Cab
Transfer Case - Any of them would do, most use NP stuff anyway.
Axles - I would take a combination of Ford and Dodge stuff here. I like the 11.5 rear diff from Dodge that comes behind a cummins/6-speed truck. I like the Dana 60 from Ford for the front end since you can get it with manual hubs.

I have basically the same except mine is a 2005. I have the Edge/Attitude and also the Predator just to adjust tire size and max speed limiter. I also added 4" exhaust, blocked the egr valve and added a "finger" stick to fake the computer out.
My mileage is worse than yours. I only get about 16 unloaded on the highway running anything over 2000 rpms. Pulling the boat, I get about 10mpg at 70mph.
As for ride height, I cranked the t-bars and put a add-a-leaf on the rear. It actually rides better and has a nice stance.

What # do you run your Edge on? I run on 1 all the time, unless I'm towing then it goes back to stock till I get up to interstate speed, then back to #1.

The Interior is actually what kept me from buying the Chevy/GMC. I really like Jeff's (Steel Outlawed) Chevy but it has the same seats as my dad's Tahoe. I have never been able to get my 6'3" 305lb frame comfortable in that seat. I drove a 2500 Crew Cab GMC for a day just to see if it realy was the seat that made it uncomfortable. Since this truck is for trips towing the boat, comfort was a big factor in my decision.

Well at least we agree on the Cummins and the Alison Trans. That would be the best combination I could think of. Also would like to have the manual lock outs. My Dodge also has the Edge on it and the difference is huge. My mileage is about 18 in town and 21 on the highway not pulling the boat--about 13-14 pulling the boat.
Chris--those covers have to be measured and made individually because some of the cockpit cover snaps are in a diffferent place and a different distance from each other. Barb said she would be glad to measure your boat next time we see y'all. She should have ours done in the next few weeks along with a back seat cover.
