Where to put 2 more 10" Speakers?
I'm thinking that I'll replace the 2 speakers in this picture (actually there is only one pictured) with the same MTX 10" subs. I'll build boxes around them & plan on moving the 6.5"ers to the area around the grab handle or cup holder. Mabey both?
What say you?

Re: Where to put 2 more 10" Speakers?
I would not put them there. I had a set of 8” right there in my 25 OL and they sounded like crap. It would be hell to build a box to go back there, and if you are able to build the box it will not have enough air space to sound right.
Here what I am doing…And a good idea for you…….
I am filling in the storage on the side of the bolsters with fiberglass boxes and putting 2 12” right there. It looks real good and if done right sounds real good too.
Move the amps to the cabin.

I'm talking about where the 6.5's are at right now. I have lots of room to build a box there.
Either that or put them in the locker areas up front in the cabin. It might act like a big bandpass box up there.

I've got two 12" subs on each side where there used to be storage pockets.I made panels that cover the whole side and enclose the 12's in airtight boxes and they hit hard. I lost some storage but thats O.K. Less crap on board.
I have a 36 Outlaw by the way.

I would put them where your amps are and the amps in the locker. But that’s just me..... I would also try to keep the highs away from the floor. The higher the better. The lower they are the less you hear them. The problem with having the lower 6 ½ where you are talking about putting it is that is where people stand and sit witch would be blocking your sound.
But your choice. Just telling you how I am doing mine.
