I pulled the trigger on a 26 Outlaw. That 30 w/T525s looked awesome,
as I'm sure the sutphen was... and some others I've looked at.
I was weined on river rockets with big outboard power and my current boat is a 21' jet w/modified 454 -have to retire her to the comfort of a heated garage. Always a fan of overpowered boats. The 26 is a good step for me right now. It's 99% for lake use, I'm not 100% sold on twins yet, and the 26 will fit on the lift and under the covered dock we just acquired.
If I start to get that big boat mentality, I'll step up to a 30 or 35 in a few years. We'll see. Anyway, should be in sometime in April.

I went with the 600. I was torn between that and the 525. I know the 525 is a great motor, but in the end I wanted the extra hp and didn't want to opt for aftermarket supercharging a year down the road when the warranty runs out. I'm pretty pumped about it. The 525&600 upgrades automatically get the XR drive, larger k-planes and Latham hydraulic steering. I'm curious to see if it's a dual ram steering- I'd be pleasantly surprised if it is- but not expecting it. I noticed the Twin 525 outlaws have just one ram per drive. Not overly concerned with it- but dual rams look great.
