Default looking for dash 24ol 92 to 97

looking to replace my whole dash which includes steering and throttle area. I have a 88 240 with the 95 fairing no glass. I had to make a mod to the dash for it to fit ,so now I'm thinking it would look better with the rounded 92 to 97 dash, plus I cracked the one I have in the cornor so instead of having it repaired I'D LIKE TO REPLACE IT since I won't be buying a new hull until 08 or 09 so if anyone has any leads let me know. ps I tried baja a couple of yrs ago and they said nope. brian just bought some from them put I haven't heard back yet he must be bombed with work so looking for another source other wise I need to get the old one out to fix it and run it down to the floor glass it in. it always felt loose so which ever is going in will be glassed no screws and with the new full bulkheads braces this will be a tank no more flexing and will be race ready for some opa races

Hello Air Time,

I am going thru the same problem with the dash. I have a 87 240. I wanted to ask you a question about your boat. I was wondering what kind of speed you are getting out of the 650Hp? I am installing a new motor in mine right now. It is a blown 454, professionaly built, dyno'd at 980hp. I know that is way to much power for the boat, so we are going to install a different pully on the blower and drop the horsepower down to 700hp. Do you know what the best outdrive would be for that setup? And are you running anykind of hydraulic steering?

Thank you,
Chris

yes to the steering go full hdy with 1 or 2 pistons, I put the add on steering 1st but anythink over 75 it wants to chine walk bad so you have to counter steer every fast to keep the boat straight , I put on a imco 2'' shortie and the boat handles a little better 4 blade 26 turning 5900to 6000rpms going to a bigger 4 blade or 5 blade this year and all so have bigger tabs I have athread from this fall when we were testing I'll bring it up its pics of my boat I think be right back.

Yes I read your other post when you where doing the test on your new power. Someone mentioned buying a black hawk drive because it was 8" shorter than the bravo xr. What do you think of that drive? I see in your other threads that you are hitting 82mph with 650 hp. Have you got the boat to ride fairly stable now at that speed?

Thank you,
Chris

B HAWK STAY AWAY, I won't find out until the spring when the new inner steering is done, I know it flys leveler with the shortier drive. so with the steering it should be better but will most likely still have to adjust the steering alittle .THERE WAS A GUY WITH 1300HP IN A 89BAJA LIKE OURS THAT DID 112 I think he raced other big boats and had this for fun. I 'll see if I can find a old post, oh one thing when you get up on plane don't nail it until the boat is level and that way you will save the DRIVE, THE COUPLER. and if your coupler is old spend the 300 to 400 for a new one. do you have any pics of your boat ? art

That would cool if we could talk with the guy that ran 112. I have not taken any pics as of yet of the boat. Right now the all the seats are out so the mechanic could romove the old carpet and the motor. He is just waitng on me to find a transom assembly so that he can install the new motor. I can take some pics once we get the seats back in. I am also replacing the old quicksilver throttle with a livorsi style throttle and order new whit face guages.
