When i had mine dyno'd they were done in the boat, hatch closed with full wet exhaust and all accessories. I dont know if its much different, but i know thats the way i run em.

And that was probably with only one engine running
when you dyno'ed it.
Crank up it's next door neighbor, let it start
eminating heat and consuming more engine
compartment air and the numbers go down more.
I've seen more than one boat engine dyno good #'s,
then once it's in the boat, it doesn't produce the gains
expected.

Just trying to help a fellow Baja Brother. I am just relating my actual experiences to you. You don't want to believe me that's fine. I just guess you want to have a summer of headaches ****in' with the motors then.
Good Luck

I now have access to tuning software & have a guy who has my boat running 30 gallons of fuel less per hour, per engine & idling properly, not to mention faster than it would have done otherwise.
So my summer of trouble isn't even going to start because we are done tuning the engines, for the most part and now are on to tuning the drive set-up & selecting propellers.
BTW, my boat ran 89 MPH @ 5400 rpm on stock 28" bravo 1 propellers & a full load of fuel.
So, I'm not knocking what you said, I'm just trying to make sence of why a dyno tune would be different than a boat tune on the bottom end.

Jason,I can't wait to hear your final numbers. I'm at a loss as to what went on with your ecu's with tyler but I'm glad you have made progress in the right direction. I'm wondering what it would be like to go 90 plus in a Baja

PS-your going to have fun (like I do) running all the "big name" fast boats that are used to whipping up on us Baja owners
,wait until you got a 85 mph fountain along side and he's maxed out, trimmed out etc. Let him crawl away like he's beating you by 1/2 mph while you still have throttle left, then the real fun begins when you nail it and pull away. Any time I race anyone anymore thats questionable I hold my boat wide open until I'm a good 10 or 20 boat lengths in front of them sothere is no question as to who was faster. I have ran into a few 90 plus mph boats also though that I couldn't do this to but not too often, those races are just as good because they can't believe a lowly Baja was hangning with them!!!
