Default leaking intercooler? reparairable???

I have a 502 mag with a m1sc and an air to water intercooler. the box that the carb sits in is full of water so i am assuming the intercooler is leaking and procharger says that the intercooler can not be repaired that i must replace it. has anybody ever heard of repairing one of these. i have repaired a couple for customers outlaw cars and have fixed one of my own so i am thinking that it can be fixed but i havent taken it out to cut it apart yet. any body have any experience?
