Prop for Baja Outlaw26

I have a brand new Baja Outlaw26 with 375hp and a 22" four-bladed Bravo I. Maximum speed regarding GPS is 57-58 MPH with 4600 RPM, 2 persons, fuel: 1/2, no wind, smoth lake (freshwater). Which prop increases max. speed and fits best to this boat? Thanks to all in advance for each help. Unfortunately in Switzerland (Euorpe) does not exist such a offshore-maniac.

thank you to all for answering so fast. do I understand it right, that the 375hp 8.1litre could be driven with 4800 RPM using a 24" prop? or would it be also possible to drive a 23" Mirage Lab? What are your experience of real top speed in this range of boat and motor? In my country is not allowed to have open exhausted engines, it is very strict with all.

Four blade props seem to be a good choice on the 25/26 Outlaws.

I know mine rides and handles much better with the four blade. I have a 496HO and run a 24p Bravo 1 four blade.

On your boat with the mag, it seems like you need to gain back a couple hundred RPM. This can be done by labbing your current prop. Someone like B-Blades or Throttle-up can help you with this. This should gain you a little speed increase and give you a pretty good all around prop.

or try a rev 4 by merc from BBLADDES in a 23p .the baja s have a non step deep drive height and the rev 4s work great on them. art

I'll bet a labbed 24p Bravo/1 is your best bet for both speed & ride.

If he had an HO maybe, but not with a mag. He is already down 200rpm with the 22. 26 Outlaw is a lot of boat for a mag motor. Just my .02 though.

thats why the 23 rev would work its faster than a b1 22, and smaller blades, dia, too so he should pick up some rpms or lab it. bbladdes .art

Marcello, if you are running with a closed exhaust - do you mean thru prop? That will take a hundred revs off your top end.
What country do you boat in?

On which swiss lake do you boat? Surely they are not more strict than lake Constance! There are rules and there are rules, you know!
Either way, expect thru prop exhaust and the altitude to take the edge off the performance. Maybe a mile each or a little more.

Donīt you have a speed limit on the lake, as well, anyway?
I have a twin engined Chris Craft on lake Constance (thatīs why I know the rules) for laid back cruising weekends, but mostly Iīm out on the Outlaw, elsewhere, haulinīass.
