I had 550 in my 24 outlaw and was doing 76. It will take at least another 150 more hp to do 85 based on that.

I agree,it took 750 hp to put my 272 in mid 80's 4 years ago. I'm talking gross hp though rated at the more genrous 60 deg sae rating. My 540 just made 657 gross hp at the lower sae factor (thru cmi's but not turning any accessories) at 5400 N/A and I'm seeing 76 mph in my 272 (no box,no shortie,no bottom work). Going to put the blower belt on and swap ecu & map sensor in another week or 2,expecting mid to high 90's,Smitty

To each his own.

Right on it, brother!:cool-smiley-011: :cool-smiley-011:

Doc,

thankyou very much for the compliment!

I wish i could get over, and meet yourself some of the other good people on the board, and share some of the great boating that goes on in the US.

Be careful, I might just mighrt take you up on that poker run offer!

Stephen,

How did you do the yellow in the Baja logo on the area over the entrance to the cabin. Looks nice, might try it if it wasn't too difficult.

with aprox 670hp and a 2'' shortie I ran out of prop at 5900 to 6000 at 83.2 last fall, next on the boat is getting the new full steering hooked up and the stolen parts back on plus maybe a box:D and the back seat replaced with a full bulkhead with cut out so theres more room in the 24 and somemore head work hoping for 90 with a 30 p in the spring or late winter as soon as I come up with the stuff and its done its hitting the water:angry-smiley-055: this summer sucked trying to replace stuff. art

Hi Guys !

I am a Buddy of Stephen "Wild Card" and I can tell you if there is anybody out there who can give a damn good advice about how to optimize a 25 OL than it is him.

I am running a H2X with a 575 SCI and a Superchiller which makes about 650 horses. I am doing around 85 mph.

And one word to the big-boaters out there: I had a Formula F336SR1 before and going that speed with that boat was not the biggest task. 85 in a small boat means: Balls required !

Greetings from Germany
