Default looking at a baja 24

hey guys wondering if you could help me im looking at buying a 24' baja 1987 is there anything i should be looking at on this boat? it has a 350 motor owner says it has a bravo drive but im thinking alpha is going to be a project but definitely dont want to buy something and find out i got more than i bargained for love reading all the info on here thanks again

nah boat was in new york owner is asking 3500 but really needs alot of work new floors rear bulkhead needs to be replaced not to mention all new interior think im going to pass just seems like alot of money for this boat am i wrong? or is this the price range thanks

This boat sounds like a nightmare and the perfect name for it would be "Money Pit"

Theres alot of nice boats out there that you won't have to mortgage your house to put back together.

I agree as well. PASS> You will spend more money in the long run to get it running. Small misc items cost big $$
you can eaisly dump 10,20,50K

Do you have a budget right now. We all may know or help you find somthing.

yea i got a 98 25 with a 454 mpi in it with 175 hours on it for 30,000 let me know if your interested could send pics and what not in NY also.

I agree on passing that one up. If the floor and bulkheads are trashed the stringers and maybe the transom are shot too. If you are not in a huge hurry you can find all kinds of good boats, but you have to be patient. Good luck!

hey thanks for the info yeah im probably going to pass im trying to stay around 10000 for the initial purchase that way i can have some money to put into boat kinda looking for a bit of a project just not a complete rebuild

there might be a blue 240sport for sale for under 10,000 its a 88 I think in good shape but has a 460 in it and king cobra drive. if you want info let me know. art
