The 29 has so much potential! I went from 72 mph with 454 mags to over 90 with my current setup.
If I had to do it all over again I would definatly go with extension boxes & shortened drives before modifying the engines.
Not that modifying the engines made the boat unreliable. It is that the boxes, drives & big k-planes made the boat ride & perform so much better.
I'll sell my 29 someday, but right now I'm having too much fun with it. Not to mention it is easier to trailer & store than something bigger.
