Happy Birthday

Well the best present was that my mother, brother and sister-in-law all drove in for three days from Arkansas to help celebrate the big 50. It was a surprise and I could not have asked for a better gift.

We had a good time and the wife took everyone out including friends that came up to Morton's Steakhouse in Charlotte for a feast fit for a king.

Steeloutlawed was there and he gave me a Whipple T-Shirt so now I have a Whipple!

The gift that I did buy for myself was a complete new sound system for the Excursion and the F350 Dually. The Ex is in the shop right now getting a Kenwood stereo DVD navigation unit installed with a backup camera, a new sub, speakers, Sirius and blue tooth. It will be ready tomorrow and I will drop the dually off when I pick it up for the exact same system in it.

It is tough hitting the big 50 and knowing you have probably lived longer already then you have left to live. Just have to make the best of every day. With that in mind I plan to leave Thursday heading South with a couple of big blocks in the back of one of my vans for a little polishing and buffing by Mark at Precision Marine!

We really enjoyed Morton's Saturday night, one of the best steaks around. It sure was nice to meet you Mother, Brother and Sister-in-law.

Hope the T-shirt works out for you, it's better having a Whipple shirt than no Whipple at all.
