Bring back the 442 (as a twin) or .38 :party-smiley-004:

I like my 442 with triples. If one breaks, I can still get on plane. You can definitely feel it straining compared to trips. Love mine and think they are great boats!

The only things I don't like about the McLeod's are how expensive replacement parts are and how the paint peels and metal frames corrode. Third boat with them and I think they are some of the most comfortable on the market. I am sure this won't help the prices of replacement parts in the future.

I believe it will be the 35 OL, 26 OL, 278 Per, and then demand from dealers will dictate on down the line. I don't think their has been a decision not to make a certain boat, but lets just say their is demand for some models and no demand for a few others.
I guess the real question is who wants the first 35 OL 2009 model built by Fountain, its going to be BADAZZ!!!!!!! I promise lighter and faster.:evilb: WILL |

I don't think it will have a large effect on your trade, Your 35 is a awsome boat. Most who purchase a BAJA in the past did not do it for pure top end, if so they would have purchased another boat. I do think we will be able to pass on the knowledge gained through a more extensive dialing in, changing X-DIM possible diff gear ratios, that will squeeze every MPH out of any 35 out there. It is possible with BAJA becoming more exclusive, your 2006 will not depreciate as fast as it was originally???? Again why the current BAJA's out there are at the best deals we will see. WILL |
The molds are history for the 36 Outlaw and the 442 along with others.
I sure wish I could have bought a 36 OL mld ffrom them after they discontinued them. You will see the 35, the 30 and the 277 first but not expect any of the old discontinued models. |

Kr 1276 Your 442 is that the same as a 420. Thanks |
No.
They quit building the 420 in 97 and started building the 442 in the 98 model year. They only built 37 442's and quit building in 2004. Here is a link to a pic and spec sheet for 2001 www.bajamarine.com/archive/2001/Baja_442.pdf |

Well the picture I received today was from a camera phone so I don't know how to post it but bottom line is that several 18 wheelers are heading south today (6-17-2008) from Ohio to North Carolina with molds.
Funny but I was told that these molds have been sitting out in the weather for a couple of weeks and now they are covering them for the ride down. I guess it really does not matter. Maybe we will see some boats in the near future.:D |
