Selling my 33 Outlaw as a Project/Parts.
Guys, some of you may have been following my saga, anyway the time has come to cut my losses. Here are the details:
Tagged a log or debris with my 33 Outlaw last Sept on the Hudson River, this led to what the insurance company said was delamination. I had to drive about 15 miles back to the ramp so the stringer where we hit got water-logged as well. Not sure exactly what would be needed to repair it but it's too much for me to repair. 1998 Baja Outlaw Twin 502s w/~250hrs Bravo 1 Outdrives Fridge Usual 33OL stuff. 2006 Performance custom matched trailer Triple Axle w/Brand New Disc Brakes and bearings on 2 axles, just had it converted from drum by Performance Trailer. http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/79656711.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/79657620.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/76123251.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/75406757.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/75406755.jpg |

Engines
Out Drives Transom Assemblies Sun Pad Swim Platform Tabs Pumps Rear Seat Carpet Bolsters Dash & Gauges Wind Screen Cuddy Door Cuddy Seats Hatches Bow Rail Lights Stereo Fuel Tank Trailer ETC ETC ETC There are a LOT of 33's on the water and the above parts could easily sell for $30K to 35K if you had time to strip the boat and sell them off one at a time. Can the boat be repaired? Maybe but you would have to have a really good fiberglass guy check it out very well and see exactly how far the damage is spread forward. The balsa coring helped obsorb the impact. Glass Dave here on the board would be a real good one to check with. If it is possible it would not be cheap. |
