1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ

304 V-8 built with performance cam
4 Speed Tranny
Dana 300 Transfer Case
4.56 Gears
Air Lockers
4 Inch Skyjacker Lift & Spring over axle
Custom HD Drive shafts
Stereo with overhead sound bar + CB Radio

Too many other options to mention.

I had a 1989 Wrangler that I bought new and was doing these mods to and had to sell it for cash when we started our business back in 1993. Finally I have another done the way i want it!

Quick detachable sway bars, KC lights and Karr light bar.

She is 7 feet from the ground the the top of the lights and runs like a bat out of hell.

You need ear plugs with the dual exhaust and the tires!

Nice ride. Did you perform the mods(Project Jeep) or purchase that way?

I lucked out and found this one for a steal!

Was in the market for one and had been talking to HaulinVols who is also a Jeep freak and thought I would buy a TJ and put one of my 500 EFI motors in it.

Then I found a young fellow who was going in the Navy and had this one that he wanted out from under fast. He had invested over $20K in it and lets just say I got it for the price of the lift kit and the wheels and tires! It was on eBay with no reserve and no one bid against me!

Wally you got a great deal for sure. I'm usually not on the right end of the deal on eBay but I got very lucky twice recently. My first great deal was a 100% complete paint set off an 08 Harley Street Glide which included the front and rear fender, the outer fairing, the fuel tank, the two side covers and both hard bags complete with lids. This was taken off a brand new bike so a custom numbered Harley paint set could go on and I got everything for $1200.00 plus $120.00 in shipping. I have it up at Kustom Kolors right now getting a trick paint job done on it. I will put it on my bike when Clayton is finished. It was all pearl white in color and we are adding Orange and Silver in a really cool design that Clayton came up with.

I have to agree. Defiantely looks like a dana35 to me. 3/4 ton axles aren't 5 lug either. Still a nice jeep.

Hey dock, welcome back to the jeep family. Here is some shots of my old junk. The boat would look good going down the road behind this.

74 CJ-5 I did a spring over conversion and swaped in Scout 2 Dana axles. 2.5 inches wider per side, 4.27 gears and a powerloc in the rear.

I wanted more height and stability so I swapped to taller springs and went to wider 3/4 ton axles heavy 44 up front and a corp 14 in the rear

Then all hell broke loose. More spring arch, more lift, a built 406 and 44s. This thing is still in my basement in various pieces. I will get it back out some day.

WOT

You are the man that is a wide and crazy Jeep!

I'm glad to be back in the family for sure it's been too long and I don't plan to be Jeepless again.

I had a 78 CJ5 with with a factory 304 that was basically stock and very rough. Then I had a 1984 CJ7 Renegade that I wish I had never sold. That was a great Jeep. Then I found a new 1989 that the dealer wanted to get rid of real bad because the folks buying wanted the 4.0 fuel injected instead of the 258 carb six and I had that Jeep looking very nice and was able to get almost all my money out of it. A couple of years later I bought a V-8 Upcountry Cherokee which was nice but just not the same as the short wheel base open top bad boys.

Take care

Dock
