I'm still trying to get my wife to understand why we have a car in our garage that cost as much as our house and gets driven maybe 4 times a year.
You just need to make her think it is her car and let her drive it. I used to have a nice collector Mercedes but we sold it with the Jeep, the truck, the house, guns, kids and bicycles when we started the business 15 years ago. I didn't get much for the kids. |
Actaully I'm pretty glad she can't drive a manual. My wife and all that horsepower is a bad mix. We had a Lingenfelter car and I let her take it out. She called me 20 min. later from a mall about 40 miles away and said I can't believe how fast I got here at 130.

Doc, I have to admit I did not get much done yesterday at work. I started from the beginning and read all of the entire 500+ posts about the Project and the new twin girls. I have to say very impressive.!!!!! I love boat projects and your wll never be matched. The boat looks great. I just might have to come up with a bigger list list for my 93' 370. I try and make imrovements every year, now I have a new Mentor. Good luck luck in the spring.

The boat came originally with Polk MOMO but Adam replaced all the original speakers in the cockpit and I don't know the answer to your question. He may reply and if not I will look the next time I get on the boat. All I can say is that the new sounds are incredible!:ernaehrung004:
Compared to Split Decision (10) my stock system was a 2 at the best. I think I am at least a 6 to a 7 now. Thnaks & Take care |

I'm really glad it caught you interest that much. I'm glad you enjoyed it and THANK YOU for all the kind words. Without Dave, Adam, Doug, Lane and Kevin it would noy have been possible and would not have turned out this nice. I'll sure keep everyone up to speed on the results. Doc |

The speakers are polk momos. MMC690. These speakers are the best deal out there right now for sound quality, volume, marine grade and price. Doc, don't forget, this summer when I see you again, we'll do some more fine tuning on the amp settings. There is MORE volume for sure and maybe a little more SQ left in the system. The surrounds and the voice coils will free up with use.
I really cannot imagine it sounding any better. Compared to the original stereo it is a 1000 times better. My neighbors can hear it loud and clear 200 yards away. Looking forward to hooking back up. I'll keep you posted on Charleston and let me know if they are going to continue to have the poker run at Erie. If not we are just going to take a full week vacation and come up. Doc |

Doc, After reading all 26 pages and it getting alot off track sometimes it was a very interesting read. Hats off to your project and all the fine work that was done. I can only imagine the cost involved.

While not cheap it was well worth it. I got a really great deal from Mark at precision Marine and we built the motors over several months and he worked on them between other jobs to help with the price. McLeod had a trade in program going on right now and you can trade in any type or brand of bolster and that helped with the interior costs. Even though the triple rear bolster ended up eating up any savings after some installation issues. The big savings came from the guys at XT. They really went above and beyond all my expectations and gave me a lot more than than I expected or could have afforded. Add to that the discounts Mike at CP Performance provided and the free factory space provided by Doug and Dean at Checkmate and it all came together at a fair price. Total time from start to finish was 13 months. We had to put the paint job on hold for now but the renderings are done and we know what we want if this economy will just turn for the better. |
Dont worry after Obama gets in you can have it painted with your stimulus check:evilb:
