You had to tell everyone Doc were the props off before? My guess not I would check tps voltage and linkage before you mess with the props, Ill send you labbed 32 and then if you need more pitch you can have yours reworked

Dock,

Also, I know this is off-topic but we are sending you a gallon of PURE Ohio sweetness. Lane, and his brother along with a half dozen friends make this every spring. It takes on average 65 gallons of Maple sap, boiled-off to make just one gallon of syrup.

XT:cool:

Cool

Thank you

Dock,

I think that you will only be @ 5650 (max) on RPM's by labbing the 32's. Have them cupped to 33's like we did on Pokerface.
XT:cool:

I agree

They definately need some cup to get the slip in check.

With the limiters set at 5750 you will or should be on them after labbeing the 32s I would think.

Lets see: Labbed 34s at 5500 at the present slip % = approx. 93.67 MPH. NOW if you could turn them at 5750 you are at 97.93 MPH using your present slip #s.

I have not said anything up till now but in the begining I was thinking in the 94 to 96 range based on other sources, info, and guesses.

You are well on your way my friend!

Mark

Mark,

I have never heard good things about the 34's and don't plan on going there. Actually without more boost I don't think I could ever spin them. I plan to have the 32's labbed shoting for a 200RPM increase and add some much needed cup and that should do the trick.

I'll keep you posted.

Doc

Got It!

Man if it tastes half as good as the jug looks it will be great.

I cannot wait to try it.

Thank you very much and please forward my thanks to Lane and his brother.

Looking for opinions and suggestions regarding water pressure.

I am getting water leaks out of the sand strainers. They are as tight as they can possibly be tightened. It leaks where the glass bowl contacts the metal body and there is an o-ring there.

There are dedicated water pick ups on the transom running to the sand strainers and then to the intercoolers under the Whipples.

I do not have any pressure gauges on them but there is a good steady water flow while on plane.

Could the pressure be exceeding what the strainers can handle?

Yup. Too much pressure. About $600 will cure that issue.

If it is truely too much water pressure there is a water pressure reducing valve that is used in residential/commercial plumbing applications that may work in you situation. Just have to find a suitable location to mount valve or valves before they enter the sea strainer. We use a brand called "watts" which work well. Not sure on the price but not bad and can be bought a local wholesale plumbing store. I have posted a link so you could research a bit more if you'd like.
