Boat should run mid to upper 90's as it is set up now. It ran 92-93 with stock XR drives and no boxes.

It is no doubt absolutely the best rigged/ nicest 36 on the planet. And worth every penny of its asking price.

Thanks Mike it has turned out very well and Adam and the guys exceeded all expectations.

A 28 foot (or smaller) center console with twin outboards! Great ICW cruising boat.

Well I went up last week and picked the bad boy up. I would have loved to have spent all day with Adam and Doug but I had to make a one day round trip.

This was the first time ever that I have hooked the 36 up to the Excursion and considering it is a V10 gasoline I was pleasently surprised.

Had to shoot one last picture in front of Checkmate. It may be the last time it is up there. I cannot thank Dean Reynolds and Doug Smith enough for allowing me to keep the boat up in their shop for waht seems like two years now. Great folks up there at Checkmate, XT Innovations and Saccenti Marine.

Check this out:

Ride up I averaged 14.9643 miles per gallon

Ride home towing 12K lbs I averaged 8.199 miles per gallon

I could sure tell the difference in towing over the West Virginia mountains with the gas V10 w/ 3.73 gears compared to the 7.3 PSD w/ 4:10's.

If it's paint Clayton with Kustom Kolors is the man

For fiberglass it's Kevin with Lakeway

For interior work it's Lane, Bev and Dave at XT Innovations

For all rigging, custom fabrication, stereo equipment, LED lights, gauges, wiring, etc. etc. it's Adam and Doug at Saccenti Marine

I have seen this in many other industries where a company fails and the key employees reinvent themselves and this is one of the best examples ever.

Bucyrus is the one stop shop for all you performance boating needs and these guys all respect each other and even though they are separate companies they work together with Dean and Doug at Checkmate being kind of the center of the universe up there.

Please keep these guys in mind for all your boating needs.

I'm meeting a guy at Lake Norman tomorrow for a quick ride to check things out before the weekend and I'll get some good pictures of the custom engine hatch bracket Adam fabricated and polished along with the new extension boxes, drives, hydraulic engine hatch lift and the custom steering wheel the guys suprised me with.

So does this mean things work out and you are keeping it? I hope so. Enjoy your ride.

If he is meeting a guy at Lk Norman, it sounds to me like the next owner is taking it for a water test.

Hope the next guy takes good care of her.
