Still going at it. I put re-gelling the outer transom off as long as I could, finally had to do it a couple weeks ago. The red is close, probably won't be able to tell from 10 feet away but not as 'red' as the existing. Probably should have tried to find a closer pigment but figured it's close enough. Still need to wet sand and buff, probably today or tomorrow.

Working on gauge layout. Panels are made from fiberglass, once I'm content with the layout I plan to have aluminum ones laser cut. I had one cut for another boat awhile back, I just hope the dude that did the last one is still doing them!

Began wiring yesterday and the day before. Trying to keep everything accessible once the helm is bolted back in place:

Damn that floor came out nice!!!!!! did you get my text over the weekend?

Be sure to raise the x dim, I went up 3" with mine. I set my propshaft centerline at 5" and the boat still planes right off with a mirage prop. Gained about 3-4 MPH and better ride, less trim, ect....

That's the plan. That's why I filled in the old hole. Just need to sack up and get the new hole cut. I was at 15" before, going up to 18". Trim'd Up said he did the same thing and didn't have any planing issues.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Be sure to get ahold of the fixture to drill the holes and mark the cutout.

a friend just rasised his sutphen from 4 3/8'' to 3 3/8'' its a straight vee like the bajas and sabers my saber will be 3'' with a box. he was out last week and his bow ran nice in the chop and in 5 to 8s it flew level, this was day after the storm came by cape cod ,I have pics posted in the sutphen section under knot right its short those are off newport and I'll post more on fairhaven pokerrun in the northeast section so you guys can see how nice his boat rides at that height. I bet the ol 24 25 26s29s will run better at 4'' cause of the pad his is v. and you can always add a spacer. my road better with the shortie and I hope to have the saber which is a round vee like donzi 's have that boat was set at 7 5/8s or 14''x:eek:and the old owner tried a shortie and pick up 4 mph. with b1 props and 5 blades we can go higher and get a level ride boxer which is the sutphen 31 single was running better than a 33 twin boat that had deeper drives they were shooting in the air all over the place plus they were turning in a no no, good luck I hope to be testing in oct I need a new gas tank after rigging most of the boat out comes the motor, tank takes 3 weeks:eek:. later
