Extension boxes on a 302

Bet cuz.
I suppose he could go negative also. -2 lowers & box set at neutral would be a +2" gain upward in x or he could use -2" lowers with the box at -1" and net a +1" gain. Or use stock lowers & set the box at -1" and net a -1" deeper x. Or about any other combination.

I have been tagging along with you on this, don't mean to take anything away from the original posts.
It will be a winter projest as well for me. I do not want to raise the engine and repair fiberglass. I really do not have an opinion on either brand, just want the beneift of an ext box. My boat is at Wilson's Marine as we speak getting the trim sender and switched repaired and will get an estimate from Andy when I pick it up.
Do any of these come with steering as standard equipment?

Wayne
Steve(Violator) is going to be at St.Clair Run and he's running 12" IMCO with 496HO with CMI's running stock drive and running solid 70mph on gps full load. Too bad your not going to be there to check it out.
My boat is up there right now as well I'm hoping he has it done on Monday so I can pick it up.

2 of my friends have older (98' and 00') 36 O/L's with Stellings boxes, and the drives aren't mounted that high
compared to mine,( guessing in the 5" range)
but they come out of the hole effortlessly,
where mine has a certain routine that has to be
followed in order to come out of the hole.
