Are the drives new? I know the old ones had to have taken a beating as much as the old hull got airborn.

05 drives and gimbal housing. Only thing 08 in that boat is hull,gauges,controls,interior..Guessing it's got around 350hrs on it..Whoever is looking at I would definately suggest having a Merc Tech plug into the computers as well as have compression check done on it.

They did not appear to be well taken care of, and would need to be gone through by a good mechanic. But drive issues can happen on any used boat out there. I would keep the 30ol you have now.

Agreed 100%. Don't worry, I'm keeping mine, I maintain the chit out of it. As far as driving it, I baby my boat compared to the way that one was driven and I've still blown a drive. Chit just happens sometimes but as Dock used to say..."Luck favors the well prepared!"
