Had a 25 Outlaw with no anchor locker...insane to have any boat without a way to safely and reliably hold an anchor. Now have an '08 30 Outlaw, Fortress FX-11 and never have a problem with it "smashing through cover and killing driver". It's locked down perfectly...great, simple design. I'm in the market for 37+ boat and CAN NOT BELIEVE this quarter million + boats don't have an anchor locker. $20k paint job and you're walking down it in 3 footers to set an anchor...INSANE. I don't see how I could pull the boat up onton the anchor to release it by hand if I didn't at least have some place to put my feet and feed the line into.

My problem is first that I have a cheap rubber coated anchorand the stock is not long enough to stay in place in the engine compartment anchor spot. it is wide enough to rest in the rubber holder, but since the strap wont hold it secure it can bounce around and fall through the hole.

Do you remember what was used on the 26OL?

Take a couple measurements of the molded hole, then take a tape measure to the store with you.. I have bought oversized anchors in the past, and taken a hacksaw to trim them down a bit!
