that would help get it there my speedo would read 62 or 63, and then they came out with gps, my motor was out but talked to guys that were getting 58 to 60 so mine was in there and with the 502 speedo would go to 70, gps was only 67. oh another up grade is 380k planes I love mine better than the 280 planes helps keep the boat level and I am still shooting for end of july to get it wet with the new drive and blower motor. got to get more pics, this week from last time out.

Hey, long time no speak Airtime. My old 454 330hp top speed in my 96 outlaw 24
was only 54mph on a near empty tank.. now with my 520hp only getting 70mph max but didnt have time to play with the props yet. was running a 24p 4 blade.. Ive been told that a 25p 3 blade mirrage plus is the way to go..

anyway good to hear your back on the water. We are looking for the spring melt as we've sold our skidoos...

Default My 24 Ol

Had a 509 built to 700hp (had a blower), the imco shortie and a 4 blade ran low 80's easy but was a handful, even w/ ext. steering and larger tabs. Never saw what it had top end because it got way to loose.

AIR TIME... did u gain speed from the stability of having the k planes? There is a thread in the baja part. I just got a set. my best run this year all in the same day GPS 71, 74, 75. 509 marine kinetics. he estimated i would be around 570hp. the 71 it was death chine like no other. then ran around the bend and the wind was blowin against the current. no traffic. up river and like 1 foot chop with little white caps. think the water had alot ot do with that run that day. no shortie. i know you and i have talked alot about or boats since they are like almost identical. but i am really excited for the k planes. i have no tabs at all and i do get a little queasy planing with a load because i have to really run the throttle hard to get on plane. it cant be good on the drive. but shes the second one and holding. anyways, good action photos. i for the first time have seen mine running and they look tall out of the water on plane. they look tough. and the styling is timeless. your grapics are better. red and black doesent date like my pink, yellow, and teal.

sounds like you had add on steering like me, I just sawed the wheel back and foth boat ran straight as long as my arm was moving, the full hydo steering to the helm should take most of it out. I still have two steering set ups plus a helm but going to keep the helm just in case the saber helm wears out.
