Guys,
I am looking to remove and replace the plastic cupholders in my 29 Outlaw with the powder coated metal versions. Any good ideas on how to remove the old ones with out damaging the fabric surrounding the plastic ones? I would like to remove the ones in the cabin as well as the ones in the cockpit. The two on the dash are not a problem since they have no fabric by them. The other ones I assume are glued in place and I have been somewhat leery about trying to remove them since I didn't want to damage anything. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance...

I had to break the ones out of my 302, then peel the vinyl back and file the wood out a bit. Buddy of mine, bought the same new ones from Eddie Marine and his slipped right out and back in. I spend an hour on mine and watched his 12 year old daughter do his in 5 minutes.

Bring it to the sandbar party on Saturday and we'll discuss it over a couple dozen cocktails!

To keep from damaging the vinly, stick a putty knife under the lip on the cup holder, then a screwdriver between the putty knife and the lip, and pry it out.
I've had some come out easy, and some hard.

TeamBaja,
I will be at the barge party on Saturday as long as the rain holds off. Look me up. The Outlaw is primarily white with red and yellow horizontal stripes and a large Baja logo on the side. We usually anchor north of the barge in the direction of Baypoint. See you then.

yes. Saturday afternoon as long as the rain avoids the area. Should be a hot day. The last party was cancelled due to the cold and high waves last month. The party in June was a lot of fun. There had to be 700 to 1000 boats/jet ski's/anything that floats there.
