New Baja Owner
I just wanted to say hello to everybody. I just bought a 2004 25' Baja Outlaw SST. I bought it from an OSO member in Jacksonville and trailered it back to Lake Norman, NC last weekend. Luckily, I got to take the boat out in Jax on the St. Johns River few a couple of days before putting it away for the winter up here. I absolutely loved it and had a blast.
I am looking a for a reliable mechanic and curious to see who you LKN owners use in the area. The engine is a 496 HO with closed cooling. There are no problems with the boat just looking for future use. Thanks in advance. Looking forward to meeting some of you guys this summer. |
Congratulations on the Baja! Best of luck with her.
You'll have to post some pictures of your new pride and joy. |
Very nice choice of boat and welcome to the family.
We love boating down on the St. Johns. I've logged a lot of miles and hours down there over the last eight years. On Lake Norman there is only one guy to call and use. He has done an excellent job for me over the years. Ed Sherrard Boat Menders 704-987-1223 980-521-6355 [email protected] Tell Ed Dock Holiday sent you. |
Thanks Dock...I will give him a call and let him know you sent me his way.

What MPH did get out of your 25 SST Outlaw ? and what prop ?
|
The boat came with a 3 blade 23 pitch prop. When I ran it on the St. Johns River over Thanksgiving weekend it was windy with chop and white caps forming. However, the tachometer said it was running 70 while the GPS had us down at about 65 (64.8).
I am curious to know what people have found to be the most successful prop for the SST? |
I have 88 Baja 24 Sport. Same has you I just bought it in the fall and could only got one run in before I put it away for the winter here on Lake Erie, I have a 3 blade 23 pitch Mirage, see some guys run a 4 blade ? Just looking for the the right setup before summer.

Congrats on the purchase. Post pics! will look for you next summer.
