Carb Question 1988 Baja 24 Sport

Hi, picked up a 1988 24 Baja Sport with a 468, Gill Exhuast, Weiand Intake. It has a 750 Holley on it with stock jetting that I think are #72 at all four corners. I thought about going to an 850 Holley but may rejet the 750, any ideas on where to start? I had the boat out a couple of times before I had to put it away and it seems like it could use a little more cfm to me, thanks for any help.

Joe, You found your boat interior photos. The rest of the foam kit arrived yesterday, so we should be ready to return everything real soon. Let me know when they get all that snow cleared off the NJ roads that you got hit with today?

Hey, RockStar you guessed right on your boat. Here are some photos of Kevins handywork before we cover it up with bulkheads again. Like I always say, Kevin is the best at what he knows.

Ed,

Kevin figured-out why the gelcoat cracked around your rear cleat. The backing wood was soft from the pop-up cleat not being sealed correctly, and probably would have pulled loose if you rafted in ruff water, or something? You can see in the pic's how good of job Kevin did to fix that problem. Kevin never takes short-cuts on any job, and he stands by his work!

wow that looks nice looks like i have some polishing to do to the rest of the boat now LOL

sonic69 12-21-2009 03:31 PM

Man my boat is looking good. I talked to Kevin today and he told me all that was done. I'm really impressed. It should be one sturdy boat this boating year. Thanks again for everything you have done for me. Todd

ED,

OK it's time for some updated photos.

One of your bolster shells had rusted t-nuts and they twisted in the plastic shell. Good thing we have a trailer full of these shells to replace any bad ones.

Note: You might get a little flak from people over here on this plate around your trailer tag???

Ed,

Have not done that yet. We had allot of work in the Skater seat to be able to show it at the Cleveland Boat Show today. I will try to get a pic of it in place in the AM. I plan to be at the IX Center again tomorrow afternoon.....you should cruise on up?

XT

Ebay Ed 01-16-2010 11:31 PM

Carpet looks like it will work fine. Leaving first thing tomorrow to deliver Joe's 302 interior in NJ. Then we plan to stay the night in Atlantic City for the wife's B-day. (hope we win some money!)

Dave thanks good luck at the casino i hope you have better luck than i did last weekend in Windsor at least they know how they are paying the electric bill this month LOL

jvcobra 01-19-2010 07:30 PM

Saw Dave yesterday before he headed to AC. I haven't had a chance to unwrap all the interior pieces but the ones I did look Awesome!!! Top quality job and Dave threw in a lot of extras I didn't expect like the seat plastics and graphics on motor lid cover.

I just thought of it while typing this but are the curtains somewhere in the mix of bags?

Ebay Ed 01-19-2010 07:53 PM

JV i saw your stuff when i was down there dropping my boat off and that is when i decided to do the entire interior instead of just the engine hatch now we just need to see some pictures when you get it back together Ed

jfm 01-19-2010 08:41 PM
